Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Bids & Quotes account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What Bids & Quotes is

Bids & Quotes is a quoting and invoicing tool for solo general contractors. It lets you create, send, and track professional quotes and invoices via email, and optionally text a link to your customer from your own phone. Bids & Quotes is not a payment processor — it does not collect money from your customers on your behalf.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to conduct business to use Bids & Quotes. Each account is for one business. Sharing accounts across multiple businesses is not permitted.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bids & Quotes to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited commercial email
  • Use the text-message feature to contact people who have not agreed to hear from you about their quote or invoice
  • Impersonate another person or business
  • Send quotes or invoices for fraudulent services
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems

We may suspend an account that violates these terms, including one causing email deliverability problems for other users (for example, high bounce or spam-complaint rates), or when needed to protect the service or your customers. While an account is suspended you can still log in and see your data, but you cannot send quotes or invoices. If you think a suspension is a mistake, contact us at [email protected].

5. Texting customers

Bids & Quotes does not send text messages. As a convenience, the “text to customer” feature opens your own phone's messaging app with the recipient's number and a draft message (containing the link to the quote or invoice) pre-filled. You decide whether to send it, and any message you send goes out from your own phone number, not from Bids & Quotes.

Because the message comes from you, you are solely responsible for it — including obtaining any consent required to text the recipient and complying with applicable laws such as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). You agree to stop texting a customer the moment they ask you to, through any channel. Bids & Quotes is not a party to, and does not monitor, store, or control, the text messages you send from your device.

6. Billing and cancellation

Bids & Quotes offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial, a subscription fee is charged monthly. You may cancel at any time via Settings → Billing. Upon cancellation, your account enters a 90-day read-only period, after which all data is permanently deleted. No partial-month refunds are provided.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime, data loss, or errors in quotes or invoices generated using Bids & Quotes.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all content you create (quotes, invoices, templates, logos). Bids & Quotes retains ownership of the software and service itself. You grant Bids & Quotes a limited license to store and transmit your content as required to operate the service.

9. Limitation of liability

Bids & Quotes is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bids & Quotes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claim does not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
